I would like to know if there is more racism in the gay community than in society in general. I live in San Francisco, and whenever I drive through the Castro, it looks like 99.9 percent of the gay men are white. Gays of color tell me they will not go there based on discriminatory treatment received. There is one black bar, and gay Hispanics have their bars in other parts of town. Does ‘the gay community’ really mean for gay and white men only?
