Having been in my early 20s some years ago I can state that I too wore many items of clothing that was considered skimpy to non clothing apparel. The reason being is that through my body was the only way I knew how to obtain this much needed attention. This young female I would dare say needed the attention she was Very aware of receiving in order to feel good about herself along with enjoying a thrill in doing so. As many females are her self worth is very possibly wrapped up in her body as mine use to be. Contrary to how she was acting she was very aware of the stares she was receiving. Could a male go out in public with his private part hanging out and not be aware of the attention he was receiving? Yet many males also suffer from low self esteem and find their self worth in their body part yet we do not see them doing as I mentioned as I believe females and males live in a different world when it comes to media self image. This young woman probably has not learned any other way to gain attention to herself outside of how you viewed her.

I personally don’t think *anyone* should be allowed to wear see through tops. Nor do I think men should be allowed to go shirtless outside their home. It should be all or none. It’s just as distracting for women for a nice looking man to be shirtless and just as disgusting to see fat guys with man breasts. Why would see wear it? Because she liked it. Only thing that matters, really, is: can she get away with it? Does it look nice? I don’t see what the problem is in this country with exposing anything above the knee or below the neckline. Breasts are just another part of the body like elbows or toenails. The only reason they are sexually objectified here is because of the taboo our society has placed on them… also movies have had an impact. Go to Europe, Africa, Australia, et c and you’ll see that they think we’re all nuts in our victorian puritanism. Good question. Most women actually condemn these kinds of clothing too on their peers, labelling them sluts or whatnot. So there are two possibilities: one, she had no idea her breasts were seethrough (I’ve accidentally worn black bras with thin white T-shirts or beaters), or two, she’s one of those women who likes to flaunt her body because she thinks men like it. If she seemed pretty indifferent to all the attention she was attracting, and wasn’t trying to be overtly sexual in her actions, it was probably the former.

There are many reasons. As a male I probably can’t give all of them, but I’m sure that many women might disagree on the reason too. Those that I can think of include: because she is proud of her body and likes to show it off; because she does it for her partner (probably because it turns him on); because her partner forces her to do it; because she has no hang ups about nudity and that is the nearest she can come without being arrested. I’m sure there are plenty of reasons, but only she will know the answer for sure.

i can list varioius reasons why a female would do such a thing, but the first reason that comes to mind is attention. i would never wear something so revealing out in public, but there are a lot of women who would, to gain attention from the opposite sex, maybe they have nothing else to offer but there body.
