PreetiMemberI am one of the many indian(hindu) ladies wearing this dot every day on my forehead. Besides being used for make-up this dot(Bindi) has much of religious importance. As per hindu religion the middle part of the forehead is the highest center to which the divine powers situated in every human being inside the lowest center (just above u'r abdomen) has to be activated and lifted up to gain self-realization(Moksha). This dot is one of the many small ways which makes this procedure faster for the women's body. This is much more scientifically proved in the shastras(Hindu Doctrines). Though hard to imagine the whole procedure as to how it actually works automatically without the knowledge of the human being can be explained based on the indepth study of Yoga(Art of acheiving moksha and healthy body based on hindu religion).User Detail :
