If Jews recieved retribution from the wrong that Germany did to them in the 1900 century, why can't African American receive retribution for slavery from the U.S. government?

This is very simple. The Jews that receive compensation were alive when it happened, or directly descendants(children) of the people who suffered. See there are no blacks alive who were slaves, and if there were any children of slaves alive they would be what oh around 121 years old if they were born during the civil war(1886). No see they are not directly affected by slavery, however and person who was 20 in 1945 and suffered from the Nazi oppression would be about 72 or so they they would have been directly affected and therefore eligible for compensation where as there is no one alive who was directly affected by the slavery in America, so what reason would there be to compensate people for something that didn't happen to them or affect them.
