Nelson-A20162ParticipantSince I can remember, the US has tried to do away with racism, to seek equality, and to promote racial tolerance, etc. Here in latinamerica, race is not an issue. Down here we are all just Hispanic/Latino (may be any race). Why is it then that such a technologically advanced country as the US is so far behind socially with issues like racism? Here is an example I read today: 'Dennis Green signed a five-year contract Wednesday to guide the Arizona Cardinals. Green becomes the fourth black head coach in the NFL, the most the league has had at any one time.' You see, this 'black coach' thing should be something normal, not deserving the extra comment. The more you think about race, the more racism there will be. So, why is race always present in the minds of MOST Americans? Isn't this racism something very primitive for such an 'advanced' country?User Detail :
