I had close relationship with a guy that never turned into an official boyfriend/girlfriend situation because he couldn't handle the 4 hour distance that would be between us when he went to college. Is that short of a distance really that hard to deal with, that an attempt at an official or exclusive relationship wasn't possible because of it? Or in this case was it an excuse to not be tied down while starting college and his feelings weren't as strong as he made them out to be?
