In days gone by, actresses fit three archetypes: ‘The Tramp’, ‘The Girl Next Door’ and ‘The Lady’. Today, the latter has all but disappeared. Does this have anything to do with feminism? I know plenty of young women and girls who would love to be ‘lady-like’ (and at the same time, want guys to be ‘proper gentlemen), but feel that it is improper because nobody does so these days. For those who fit the ‘radical feminist philosophy’: What do you think of ‘ladies’? What about Yforum’s (straight) male readers? Would you date a woman who is ‘proper’ (think Audrey Hepburn)?
