I go swimming once a week, and I saw a Turkish Cypriot girl swimming. I had seen her before, but as it was the start of Ramadam(it was begging to get dark outside), I was surprised. When does Ramadan begin, and when does a child have to start fasting? Also,is it a culteral thing for Turkish Cypriot women that women can go swimming? I thought Muslim women only went to women-only swimming classes. Also, I have noticed that some Muslin women have different coverings. Some cover the whole body, others cover the hair, and others don’t wear anything. I used to think it was a culteral thing, but now, I don’t think so. What are they all called, and when does a girl/woman start wearing one?
