In the two cities I’m most familiar with, Boston and Philadelphia, Mumia Abu-Jamal is seen as guilty by a large percentage of the population, myself included. I’ve noticed that the further you get away from here, the less clear many feel his guilt is. I’d like others’ opinions on why or why not you feel he is innocent of the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner.

jamal is most likley guilty of shooting officer faulkner. whether he’s guilty of murder or simply saving his brothers life from a brutal thug is the real question i think most intellegent jamal activists realy want put out there, but instead they developed a cult around this myth of his innocence. doubtlessly there’s a case being tried somwhere in the u.s. where a black man is being falsly prosecuted, lazily defended, and facing a jury not comprised of his peers like he’s constitutionaly entitled to, but a group of suburban whites, who’s also innocent. the people who are whasting their energy on jamal should seek out that case and try the justice system with it. i think activists are behind abu jamal because he was an independent journalist and activist himself. the way i see it abu jamal shot a member of the blue klan, perhaps saving his brothers life, and that’s why his brother won’t testify one way or another.

First of all i am a supporter of mumia abu-jamal but i don’t think it is like you say i just think that the people futher away from philly don’t really know about the cause or who the hell mumia (aka willam cook) is in the first place so those who do know just happend to be supporters…. Also i went to philly w\ a friend of mine who is from there and i found many avid supporters and alot of people who said yeah he is guily but didn’t really care i think there are more pro-mumia supportes there that fight for there cause than anti-mumia people who are active in the fight
