I have been wondering something of late: why do there seem to be no (or very few) practicing Mormons who ever deviate from the teachings of their faith? I am Catholic and attend Mass relatively regularly, yet break tenants of my faith on an almost-daily basis. Yet every Mormon I have met or read about seems to never miss church, never have pre-marital sex, never drink, etc. I understand that it is never the best scenario to ascribe to a religion that you can’t compeltely follow, but it is clearly done all the time in the USA in many Chrisitan and non-Christian sects. What is it about Mormons or their teachings that ensures followers are so strict and devout?
