What do you do if you’re a kid and have no money?

What does an 11-year-old need money for? I guess that would be the typical response of someone like me. I have three children around your age, and although they do not yet complain about a need for money, I’m sure they will be soon. Perhaps you can work out a deal with your parents to start earning the money you need. I worked out a system for my kids to keep track of the things they do to help out around the house and gave each item a cash value. At the end of the week we would add up all the items performed and they would be paid. This way the kids would decide the amount they would receive. Of course, anything I had to tell them to do didn’t count. My parents used a similar system with me when I was young, and I think it worked pretty well.

Play, ride your bike, play, enjoy your youth while you have it, play, and not worry about having money. Having money means worring about not having money. Go play ball with your friends, ride skateboards at a park or school yard, none the less, just play and have fun at your age. I only wish I could have as much fun now as I had at that age.
