I am going to college to become a teacher. I plan on teaching high school. I am out to some of my friends but not out to everyone. I don’t look like your ‘typical’ lesbian so most people won’t know just by looking at me. However, I am concerned about my career choice. Teaching is what I have wanted to do all my lfe. I have tried other careers and I decided to go back to school and finish my degree. I am very worried about the reaction students, fellow teachers, and parents will have if they do find out. One of my friends, a fellow gay teacher, said I should be ‘out’ at school from the very beginning. It is what he did and it worked very well. I just dont know if it will work for me or if it will be a disaster. Just looking for some feedback, advice, anything.
