[John Carter]

This is a pretty Black and white subject to me but I have to ask. Why do many cultures in this country feel that they have to be referred to as African-American, Chinese-American, Mexican-American, Arab-American, etc… Why is it so hard for these groups to decide whether they are simply American rather than Hybrid Social Group? You’re either American or you’re NOT.
