Why are ‘homophobia’ and ‘homophobic’ used in the media as derisive adjectives rather than a matter-of-fact statement of a person’s fear of those who practice homosexual sexual relations? In my opinion, there are some good reasons to be afraid of homosexual behaviour and homosexuals, particularly men, not the least of which is the risk of contracting AIDS and dying the grim death that follows, if one should be unlucky enough to come in contact with the blood of someone with AIDS. >
