    Why do gothic people seem so mad at the world? How did they come up with the style of dress? black hair, huge black pants with zippers and straps on it, and the ripped hard hard shirts?

    And in many ways still does. He dies his hair black and wears black clothes, although he’s gotten away from the baggy pants with zippers, straps and chains. I think intially, he dressed in black because he liked the way it looked. None of his best friends dressed in goth. He had some anger issues that I’m sure contributed to his dressing the way he did (it ticked off his step-mother, who he does not like). But I think a lot of the anger for other goths is due to how society treats them because of how they dress. Many people look at kids who dress goth as hoodlums. They judge them based on how they dress rather than on who they are, forgetting that they dressed a lot differently than their parents ever dressed as well.
