Any way you look at any religion, there is space for fundamentalism. Just the same way the Bible says (Leviticus) that ‘And the blasphemer (against the Christian/Judeo God) will be taken to the outskirts of the city and shall be stoned to death’ is the same way the Quran says that Muslims should kill infidels. Obviously I would agree that most Muslims think that converting and saving people is better than killing them or that living a life of sinlessness and being devouted to Allah is the important thing. The Quran like the Bible was written a long time ago with many different societal beliefs. To interpret any religious book or teaching to the word is not only dangerous but ignorant. I would like to add that in Leviticus it also sanctions killing children for lying to their parents, but I don’t see any Christians or Jews stoning their children.

I don’t know where you read that. It never says to kill non-believers. In fact, it says that if you kill one innocent man or woman, you kill the whole humanity. People just pick a sentence from the Quran but don’t mention in what context or background it was said.

Maybe you should go out and get yourself a copy of the Quran, and read it. The mullahs advocating jihad and genocide are selectively interpreting the Quran to justify their own agendas.
