JoseParticipantWhy does the Koran require a good Muslim to kill non-believers? How can that be an acceptable way of life?

mike19617ParticipantDoes the Koran really require killing , or is that how you interpreted it?

KevinParticipantAny way you look at any religion, there is space for fundamentalism. Just the same way the Bible says (Leviticus) that ‘And the blasphemer (against the Christian/Judeo God) will be taken to the outskirts of the city and shall be stoned to death’ is the same way the Quran says that Muslims should kill infidels. Obviously I would agree that most Muslims think that converting and saving people is better than killing them or that living a life of sinlessness and being devouted to Allah is the important thing. The Quran like the Bible was written a long time ago with many different societal beliefs. To interpret any religious book or teaching to the word is not only dangerous but ignorant. I would like to add that in Leviticus it also sanctions killing children for lying to their parents, but I don’t see any Christians or Jews stoning their children.

TariqParticipantI don’t know where you read that. It never says to kill non-believers. In fact, it says that if you kill one innocent man or woman, you kill the whole humanity. People just pick a sentence from the Quran but don’t mention in what context or background it was said.

ZamzamParticipantExcuse me, the Quran does not require Muslim people to kill non-believers, and I don’t know who the hell told you that.

Ann L. LowensteinParticipantMaybe you should go out and get yourself a copy of the Quran, and read it. The mullahs advocating jihad and genocide are selectively interpreting the Quran to justify their own agendas. You know, kinda like how self-proclaimed ‘good’ Christians selectively interpret the Bible to justify anti-Semitism, race-hatred and dancing around with poisonous snakes?

FadumoParticipantMuslim people don’t kill those who don’t believe. Does that answer your question?

Jack19636ParticipantThe Holy Bible that the Christians use says to kill non-believers, too. I think people like to ignore that part.
