Can someone explain to my why gay marriage is illegal. I understand that to Christians it is immoral, and not allowed by the church, but from my understanding, christian marriages are all about being wedded before God, and that the legal aspects are just paperwork. This being the case, and the whole seperation of church and state, why should it really matter if gays want to be married legally, jsut like any other heterosexual? It jsut doesnt make any sense to me.
