I have a fair-sized red birthmark on my face, near my nose, and have always wanted to know how others really feel about it. Do you think they are ugly? Do you pity people with them? Do you worry about touching them?

I have to admit, while it bothered me when I first met him, after I knew him for a while, I quit seeing it. I wouldn’t visualize him with it, and wouldn’t notice it unless he blushed, because then his face was all one color. It didn’t bother me to touch it, because it just felt like skin.
