DebbieParticipantI am completing an assignment for my GNVQ Business studies assignment on stereotyping European countries. What are some stereotypes of countries and residents of Europe?User Detail :

CP19378ParticipantHere are some stereotypes about Europeans that come to my mind (which is not to say I believe they're accurate):
-- English: drink tea, bland food, snobby, reserved
-- French: great food, lovers, unreligious
-- Italians: Catholics, mafia, pasta, emotional
-- Germans: psychiatrists, tourists, Nazis
-- Swiss: yodelling, chocolate, skiing
-- Scandanavians: athletic, hardy, liberal about sexUser Detail :

Mikkel-ConradiParticipantHi, my stereotypical Finn is either a computer geek or unemployed. S(he) is introverted and needs a great deal of vodka to loose inhibitions each Saturday night. S(he) always wears a cell phone, even in the sauna.User Detail :

Christina-SParticipantI am half Czech and half Filipino, and I have a pure Scottish boyfriend, who's not only my lover, but my best friend. He may be pale, but he's amazing looking to me. I'm sorry, but I find that the British work harder and have higher intellectual standards than many other countries because of their graduation ages, and their emphasis on college work in the public schools. Oh, and by the way, my boyfriend is out studying third year physics right now, and working his damned ass off. In addition to my other experiences, I've been in many relationships and my sex life is absolutely intense and beautiful. And for him to cry in front of me when he told me it was because he realized he loved me more than anything means a lot to me. ps: we both love newcastle brown ale, but we're both med students working our asses off, so we don't have time.User Detail :

Peter29098ParticipantThe pale skin comes about due to the lack of sunshine. The drinking _is_ frequently excessive because of the wierd licensing laws. In the UK pubs and bars stop serving at 11pm and kick you out by 11:20 sharp. That's 10:30 and 10:50 respectively on Sundays. I don't drink myself but hey. Most people I know couldn't care less about the British Empire. Likewise, no one cares about the French, except maybe to like going to France and buying cheap wine. I am terribly rude, oftimes emotional and generally uninhibited, but I can see how a reaction to strange surroundings or people might bring out 'the reserve' where one retreats into oneself and is _terribly_ _terribly_ polite. It is also considered vulgar to talk about sex with people you don't know.User Detail :
