Browsing in a dictionary i saw the word 'Asiatic' and the first definition said 'Sometimes Offensive: Asian.' I thought this strange b/c i have often read terms such as Afro-Asiatic (the peoples and/or languages of SW Asia/N Africa), or Asiatic Turkey (the part of Turkey in Asia) in books. Does anyone, particularily Asians, think 'Asiatic' is offensive?
