I'm curious to know if any studies have been done as to the prevalence of insulin-dependent diabetics among traditionally Muslim cultures. I wonder because it seems to me that Ramadan would act as an unintentional form of natural selection in weeding out diabetics, especially insulin-dependent diabetics.
