What is the determining factor of truly knowing yourself as being gay? How can one use the best approach in coming out or being accepted? What are the best places to go to in order to find love of the same sexual orientation, besides nightclubs? I’ve been having trouble in these areas, it seems practically all my 29 years. I should know I’m gay, but I crave proof that’s concrete. I may already have two counts against me in society: being african-american and gay. I also desire to find love from a man (caucasian) and to have a family, but societal culture direct me otherwise. I need some direction so I can finally move on — yes, I’m still at home with my parents harboring this secret side of myself. *Please, use the initials ‘ZJC’ instead of my full name when posting my question(s). I wish not to disclose who I am, especially on such sensitive topics as these. I hope you understand.
