Susan MDParticipantDo other people think you smell? If they do not I would see a ENT to rule out chronic sinus infection, a neurologist to rule out seizure disorder or brain tumor, and perhaps a psychiatrist if that does not pan out. If other people smell on you what you think you smell I would see a gastroenterologist to rule out problems such as colon cancer which can make you smell that way. Also consider a geneticist or endocrinologist to rule out metabolic syndromes that can make you smell bad. Very bizarre diets can give you an unusual odor, but a balanced diet without heavy spices should not make you smell. Keep looking for a reason!! Find a Family practitioner or internist that you can work closely with and start with a complete physical. Even a retained old tampon you are not aware of can cause this smell.(I have seen many a case of smelly forgotten tampon!!)
