Why are blacks so offended by the confederate flag? Afterall its a symbol. Reasons for why we engaged in a civil war have nothing to do with the flag. There are variations of the flag, but all it really represents are the states that were part of the confederacy, no more, no less. If that flag disappeared tomorrow, would anything really change for the black community?
