Why do women seem to place so much trust in the opinions of celebrities. Some of my acquaintences are always talking about what Oprah or Rosie have to say and even rely on them to tell them what books to read or what political opinions they should have. Considering the fact that celebrities’ entire lives exist in a fantasy land, do women really think that Julia, Barbra, Oprah etc can relate to their every day situations?
