ShellyStrauss RollisonParticipantFirst, a couple who is through not fault of their own unable to have children will NOT be forbidden to marry in the Catholic church. If, for example, the woman is infertile through no fault of her own, she can still marry in the Catholic church. However, if a woman had her tubes tied, that is considered a form of birth control, which is against the teachings of the Catholic church.
