Everywhere in the United States, everytime a comment is made about a person of color that comes from a white person, someone always finds a way to label this person as a racist. But we have many well known persons that are black and hispanic that are able to make even bolder statments which are voluntarily made against white people but the persons or groups are not considered racist. Example: How can there be a Black Miss America but no if there was a Miss America in which only white contestants were allowed, why is this considered racist? Isn’t voluntarily segregating one’s own group racist towards other groups? Many legal battles were fought to integrate public schools and universities a long time ago but we still see these groups who were allowed in, now segregating themselves and keeping white people out. Why are some colleges and universities considered ‘historically black’? Yes, white people are allowed, but why is there a seperate football ‘bowl game’ dedicated to ‘historically black’ colleges? My main question is, why do white people always get pinned for all racism and the minorities who segregate themselves never get labeled as racists and it would be racist to call them so?
