My wife and I are a mixed couple (she’s white, I’m black) and we are considering moving to eastern Oklahoma close to the Arkansas border in a couple of years to buy some land and build our dream home. How will we be received by the residents living in this area?

Better than you are in Washington. Mixed-race couples get more common the further South you go. It becomes an issue of socio-economic class rather than race, the droolings of a few bigoted neanderthals all aside.
