Black history month is always a big deal but nobody seems to really pay any attention to womens history month. Historically speaking, women have been oppressed longer than black people have been. (Black oppression came about around the colonization era and womens oppression has been happening everysince there were women). Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this could be?

Does it matter who was oppressed longer because if you ask me both months should have more emphasis put on them..And honestly women have not been oppressed longer than Black people because we are still oppressed it may not be systematially, but culturally and financially we are. For instance why is Black history month the shortest month of the year?
