I have noticed, particularly in New England, that houses painted baby blue and bright blue are almost always owned by French Canadians. Does anyone know why this is?

Here in the Kansas City area, you can’t throw a rock without hitting a blue house, unless it hits a yellow house. You may be on to something, because there are nearly as many Cajuns in the KC area as there are in southern Louisiana, and I have never seen more houses painted iterations on the theme of ‘blue’ anywhere else I’ve ever lived.
