The terms 'un-American' and 'anti-American' are used a lot in our mainstream media and culture. I have never liked these terms as it makes America sound like an '-ism.' (It also reminds me too much of 'anti-Sovietism,' the gravest of crimes behind the old iron curtain.) My question is for other nationals of the world: is there a such thing as anti-Italianism? Un-Mexican? Un-Israeli?
