I have noticed video games tend to be biased in the sense that women or black people are given roles within the games that mostly match their commonplace roles in society. Does anybody else agree? Do you know of any study on this subject?

I would have to disagree. They may in a few video games, but not in most video games I have played – and I have played many, being a teenager. For example, Tomb Raider starring Lara Croft is now a movie coming soon, and the female is the hero. In Mortal Kombat, Streetfighter and so many more games there are black people and females as heroes. But I do agree that they might have white males as the superheros a little too much. I would like to know a few games that have women and blacks in roles that mostly match their commonplace roles in society.

I agree. Anyone who says that is just looking for something to complain about. Although there is one thing I have noticed: ever see an Asian who wasn’t a ninja in a video game?
