The reason blacks feel more comfortable around blacks is that they cannot be chastised by their own people if they are with their own people. Blacks have the worst attitudes toward other blacks. Especially the ones that are trying to better themselves. If blacks try to attend a ‘white’ school, they are being ‘Uncle Toms’ for trying to rise above their people. Black schools afford a black person the opportunity to be educated, but in a way so as to not outrage the rest of the black community so they are not seen as a ‘sellout’ to their people.
