i make music. i don’t sell millions of records, but i am definitely not jealous of those who do. some of those who do are genuinely good artists. but the majority of POP-ular music is contrived, manipulated, and marketed so that people will like it. people tend to like whatever they hear on the radio or see on tv. but they don’t know any better. that’s the only way they know how to find new music. they don’t know where to look for it on their own.
