i understand your concern on this matter, i to once thought that things were gettin worse at one point, but i soon realised that it is mearly what you hear and what you know that can change your views on things massively. most people dont get the full story of goings on, and others dont know anything about them at all. bad things happen around the city- a guy was stabbed in my city a few weeks ago and nobody knew anything about it, another was hit around the head with some metal crutches and everyone i knew had info on it, the media had made the situation a whole lot worse. lots of bad things happen around you oblivious to wether you find out about them, just remember crime is generally on the decrease and that most assault offences are made by people who know their victims, they aint gonna get away with it!
