The country is 12% black. What is the % of people convicted of murder who are black? I believe that on the whole blacks do not receive the same quality of legal defense as many whites who can afford private attorneys. Many low income whites also receive poor legal services. The simple fact is, if you have 20 % of murders convicted by blacks, you should have about the same on death row. I do not know what the % of convicted murders are black. That is what I would like to know so I can decide if the death penalty is racist. Please send info on studies
