I can only speak for myself despite the fact that I have several female friends who remain attracted to ‘young’ men despite their own maturity. I personally have found that although I still harbor some sexual fantasy regarding younger men – (Especially when I happen upon a young man in his late teens or early twenties… who is handsome with a nice, muscular body) – I find myself more attracted to men my own age or older. Of course, no matter what age a man is – it is more a ‘type’ that stimulates me visually and sexually. If I am in such a mood to be thinking purely of sex (ie: fornication with no emotional attachment whatsoever), I can easily find myself stimulated by the young, buff, slightly longer-haired, man of his early twenties. But if I am such a mood to crave intimacy, compatibility, and a slower, somewhat more ‘romantic’ encounter – I find myself more attracted to men my own age or older. I speak from my own experiences: I was married at 18 to my high school sweetheart. After our divorce at age 23 (we should have seen THAT coming!), I became involved with a man who was 13 years my senior. He was my confidant, my mentor, my emotional partner…. and the man who truly showed me what lovemaking should really be about. Perhaps it is my experience with him which keeps me attracted to older men vs. younger men. Sure, everybody likes some good ‘eye-candy’ – but with me (as with most women), it’s the rest of the package which really counts in the long run!
