[Shosh]

Most religious Jews I know do believe that that Messiah will come. Exactly how it will be? Like most things that have to do with faith, the answer you get depends on who you ask. As a teen, I went to a public orthodox school in Israel. What we were taught was that every generation a man is born who is worthy of being the Messiah. He will come if:

* All people are sinners;

* All people are ‘saints’ (not the exact word. but I’m not sure what is the English word for tzadik); or,

* It is the time God has set in advance.

What kind of savior will he be? What kind of salvation will he bring? He will be a great human leader. A bringer of world wide peace and prosperity. That is the first stage. The second one is more spiritual, and I do not know much about what is supposed to be.
