Asian men don’t harass their women. Does this mean that Asian women are weak like white women?

Most of the South Asians I know don’t like black people. I don’t understand why because most of the males dress and act ghetto style. They love to watch BET. My sister is dating a South Asian male and she says she can’t believe the things she hears his family say about blacks, despite the fact that their skin is very dark. I believe this is because in South Asian countries the people believe that the lighter your skin is the better you are. It’s a big misconception that whites are the only people that can be racist.

This is not a black thing, or a gender thing. This is a class thing. I was at a shopping mall and I watched as a Caucasian man opened up his van, pulled out a couple of empty fast food bags full of garbage and dropped it on the ground before he loaded his wife and two kids into the vehicle. A few years back I was out driving with a female friend of mine. She handed me a half full cup of soda from some fast food joint and told me to throw it out the window of her moving truck. I told her no and that I’d rather wait until we got home, so I could put it in the garbage. She grabbed it from me anyway and threw it out the window. Maybe it’s a fast food eaters’ thing.

I don’t think sexual harassment is exclusive to Hispanic males. I live in a city that has large Portuguese, Italian and Greek communities. The men make very blatant sexual comments toward women. I can deal with the comments now after having traveled to Italy a few summers back. I never felt so violated in my life. The men didn’t respect personal space. Not only did I have men saying things to me, I was groped on numerous occasions. It was extremely upsetting. I find that Asian and Anglo men tend to have more respect for women.
