As an American, I can say that you are correct in observing how the MEDIA portrays all things Canadian. However, keep in mind that they do not speak for all Americans. I do think it is pathetic that these views are perpetuated, and I for one am not a big fan of ‘the media’. Also, if this makes a difference, I have a personal interest in Canadian literature and culture (which, I know, is not merely a photo-copy of the United States’). So, thank you for pointing this out, but relax and try to ignore most of pop culture!
