RizzMemberI was born and raised in California. I have always had white friends because there really aren’t any ‘ethnic’ teens where I live. I guess I’ve grown accustomed to it, but sometimes I look around me and realize that I am completely different from everyone else. It isn’t something I think about, but it still hits me sometimes. I have not really been discrimnated against. Although I have been asked if I am a citizen, and even whether I speak English or not. These things do bother me, but I can’t expect people to think that I’m a typical American teenager, when I’m Indian looking, with a differnt name, and a pierced nose. But it still does bother me when little kids, or old people stare at me because they’ve never seen an Indian girl before. I may look different, but that should make me even more American… not less.
