I am so glad someone asked this, but even more than that, I’m glad you’re standing up for your sexual orientation. It doesn’t hurt anybody, and it’s true: your persecution has everything to do with religion. To help with your question, I think it has to do with the fact that back when many of today’s religions arose, children were already at a premium, and they needed all the heterosexual couples they could get to breed and preserve the population. It became ‘morally wrong,’ I think, in order to deter people from diverting from their sexual roles, which might’ve wasted opportunities for children. At this day and age, though, earth is already overpopulated, so I think it helps to have more gay marriages to, if only slightly, curb the population growth. Plus, when gays want children, what better way than to adopt? It gives gay couple children and gives orphans homes.
