Ravi DunnMemberYour observation is probably due to being in a prdominantly white culture. I beleive there are literally millions of ‘missing’ girls in India (for example) where female children are not equally values for social/cultural reasons. In the UK there are cases amoung many ethnic groups though fortuneately few nough as not to form representative samples.

Ravi DunnMemberIn the UK it became politically correct to call anyone Asian, African or mixtures including just ‘Black’. Coloured was out. I think the idea was to validate their identity but to my mind it serves to reinforce the paint-pot view of race. Add an atom of any colour to a pot of pure white paint and it’s poluted…
