That comment is the typical black attitude in regard to tipping. I have delivered pizzas and waited tables over the last four years, while I worked my way through college, and I’ll tell you that the generalization that blacks are lousy tippers is entirely true. As far as tipping the delivery driver, they are the worst. They generally won’t tip, and if they do, it’s not more than a dollar. Whites, on the other hand, average about a $3 tip per delivery. I’ve seen this enough to know reality. It doesn’t matter if they’re of the same class. In fact, you can have a white person, living in a trailer, who’ll generally tip you about two to three dollars. On the other hand, you can have a black person, living in a nice $200,000 house, and he’ll not tip, or tip lightly. I’ve seen this all too often to know. As far as tipping the waiter/waitress, blacks, generally, are sorry tippers. While whites usually tip around $5, blacks average around $2. What gets me is the comment, ‘Well, it’s not hard work, or, ‘find another line of work’. That is so ignorant. Pizza delivery, or delivery in general, puts extreme wear on one’s vehicle. Autos do take more to maintain. Furthermore, it’s a service. If you’re too lazy to drive to the store, then you don’t deserve a pizza if you don’t tip. As far as waiters, these people only make $2.13 per hour, and that is taxed. You can’t live off that. You make nearly all your money on tips. Can’t you see reality, pal?

Practically the whole Southeast was a strongly British settled area. Georgia was strongly British. In fact, it started out as a prison colony. The Carolinas, along with Virginia, have large British population lineages.

Yes, I agree with you. Those names are ridiculous. When I was in the public school system, I had black classmates whose names were: (For girls): Jolanda Jujuana Revonda (For boys): Arterius Zondulius Xenophon Now, those are some screwy-sounding names.
