Each respondent has asserted that sexual orientation is unique to an individual and should be accepted by society. This is an example of what is meant when some say that homosexuals want ‘special rights.’ There is no room for debating what constitutes ‘normal’ or what is ‘abnormal,’ only assertions that God (never mind what the Bible says, that is a matter of interpretation also) made some with one orientation and others with another orientation and yet others with many orientations. In other words, what people do among themselves is nobody’s business. This is sexual relativism. But like all forms of relativism, this also has a deadly flaw; if a person truly believes that sexual orientation/preference is unimportant and nobody’s business, then they must also support straights who engage in gay-bashing based on their sexual orientations and preferences. If a restriction is created such that only consenting adults should be able to engage in consensual sex, you have to ask what about the person who is a born pedophile or a born rapist. The evidence supporting these sexual orientations as genetic in origin is no weaker nor stronger than the evidence supporting the genetic origin of homosexuality.
