Jennifer, From a sociological point of view, and amongst many varying reasons, one reason for the correlation you describe may be explained as being linked to white men’s historical position as the dominant sex and their access to resources. One modern example of this would be access to the World Wide Web and extensive collections of pornography. You will find that many sex offenders indulge heavily in pornography, a psychological stimuli related to this sociological trend I have described.
