Toys are obviously part of the socialization process, and I think it is important for parents to determine how they want their kids socialized. One way to teach kids at an early age that stereotypes aren’t rules we all need to live by is to give kids a variety of toys and encourage them to play with what they like, not what they stereotypes dictate.
