Lucy-H22687ParticipantI don’t think there is any way to identify a ‘cat person’ other than whether they like cats. We have always had cats in my family. Most of the people in my extended family have cats. My husband, who is Mexican American, loves cats. His mom still has one that came home with my husband when he was a child. I guess whether you like cats depends a lot on whether you grew up with them. I have known many people from rural Mexico who do not understand why someone would have a cat as a pet because they don’t do anything to help out, whereas a dog can guard the property, help herd cattle, etc.
