Fetishes often deal with power, the exotic or the forbidden. These are quite related topics: For example, we’re taught that it is good to be strong, independent people, which makes being submissive culturally forbidden. Never exploring a role, e.g. a woman who has never sexually dominated a man, makes it unfamiliar and exotic. Similarly, the exotic is often erotic (as evidenced by the proliferation of Asian, black, Russian, Indian, Interracial, etc. pornography) partially because of the perceived barriers involved in crossing cultural and ethnic boundaries.

In fact, we find many common fetishes touched by these categories: dominance/submission, bondage/discipline, sadomasochism, blindfolds, rape fantasy (either side), spanking, chastity belts, anal sex and oral sex all have some aspect of power play. Any pornography that is based on ethnicity or old age or dwarfism is interesting, at least partially, because of the exoticism involved. Finally, such themes as incest, transvestitism, interracial sex, piercing/tattooing or bestiality are broadly forbidden acts in ‘polite’ society.

It should therefore come as no surprise, when we address your particular question, that watersports express all three fetish facets that I’ve discussed here. While urinating, we feel intensely vulnerable and exposed (which puts observers in the position of power). The visual event is different for men and for women, which makes it strange, unknown and interesting. Urinating while being observed is shameful and jarring for adults, something that is seldom done. In brief, watersports allows for power play, is exotic and is forbidden. We should expect that it can have strong appeal for some.

Can’t help you figure out scat, though; that stuff is just sick.
