To the white american lady who is about to take the formal step in commiting to islam. I beg of you..PLEASE reconsider christianity. The bible warns us of false religions and false prophets. I have an eyptian boyfriend and he is a stubborn headstrong dominant muslim man. His first wife converted to Islam for him because she was weak in her faith. I assure you this will not happen with me. To also answer the question pertaining to white american muslims in the US, one of the reasons why it has prevailed mainly with african americans is because in the early 1900’s..I believe around 1914-1917 or so, a few men were pioneering the word of Islam to black americans and they were quite succesful because at the time they still had very few rights, felt quite imasculated and found comfort with this new religion that gave them a sense of dignity. What is rarely discussed is the strategy for making this conversion so inticing. African american men were told that christianity was a means for white americans to control and manipulate them. NOT TRUE! Racist men may be accountable for several things, but the word of God does not condone or promote racial hatred. The truth is in the bible where the word of God stands. Men are flawed sinners and if we depended on them as justification for changing our faith then the gates of heaven would not see a human soul.
